Islamic preacher and televangelist Zakir Naik today issued an open letter to India in which he has termed the five-year ban on his Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) as an attack on "Muslims, peace, democracy and justice". Titled 'Facing The Foregone Conclusion', the letter also alleges that the ban was timed with the "demonetisation fiasco" to avert resistance and divert media attention. The 51-year-old has also asked why the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) does not apply to BJP MP Yogi Adityanath and right-wing leader Sadhvi Prachi, who are also seen making inflammatory speeches.

WHERE DO YOU stand on the conflict in Syria? This question has become perhaps the ultimate political and sectarian Rorschach test of our time. Are you a leftist or libertarian who opposes U.S. air strikes and waxes lyrical about the paramountcy of Syrian sovereignty and international law? Or are you a very mainstream liberal or conservative who backs military action to remove the Syrian dictator from power — or, at least, to protect his people from barrel bombs and chemical attacks?

In the run-up to Turkey’s historical referendum this past Sunday on whether or not to accept, among other things, a change from a parliamentary to a presidential system, many of Turkey’s secularist and nationalist opposition were invoking modern Turkey’s founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, as a rallying call.
According to these voices, Ataturk’s vision for a secular, democratic state is at risk of being destroyed by 'Islamist' President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who will adopt an authoritarian method of rule to impose his anti-Kemalist political agenda.

While traveling in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam, I was surprised to find Muslims in an isolated village near the Cambodian border on the Mekong River Bank. Arriving by a small boat, the group I was traveling with got off on a narrow, half rotten, wooden bridge one by one.

FBI is further expanding arrests of Bohras involved in giving material and support and encouraging the crime of committing molestation of young Bohra girls. FBI should interrogate and subject to lie detector tests all Bohra Bhaisahebs, Amils, Mullahs etc. living in USA and deport all those on religious visas if they are involved in anyway. It will be a great justice for all those are being harassed by these paid agents and Chamchas.
